Can’t get my head round why a team on a roll was so poor in the first half. Kilkenny the only midfielder who turned up. Butts was the spark after the break, with Kabs taking over the baton. And we were pretty relentless to get that joyous finale. #stfc

Local media dealing with managers - who are, to a man, chippy - is like engaging with a family member who has severe depression. They will ignore your 19 positive comments and pounce on the one piece of negativity you let slip. A quiet off the record word was the way to go.

I felt the new manager's comments towards Joe Acklam in this presser were unfair and unnecessarily combative after routine and largely positive coverage post appointment by the Adver. Local media/club relationships are tough, but they should be two-way.

#stfc Encouraging start to transfer window from Kennedy/Russell with Clarke (club captain?) and Sobowale plus securing Ofoborh, McGurk and McGregor. BUT we so need at least one experienced centre back and a prolific striker (both expensive) soon or I’m going to get nervous.
