Hi everyone. I was in a significant car accident over the weekend. I was going over 50 mph at impact. I want to start by saying that I’m going to be fine. The impact was significant. The man I collided with admitted fault to me and to the officers. He was checked by EMTs and he will be OK. I’m grateful for that. I walked away without any broken bones, which still feels unreal. I have a lot of bruises. I have pain in my neck, shoulder, and wrist. Even so, I’m amazed at how well the car protected me. Airbags and seatbelts save lives. My symptoms seem to be improving, but I’m going to stay offline today (after this). As much as I loved that car, it’s just a car. It can be replaced. People can’t. I’m very grateful for how fortunate I am. Thank you for the posts, the comments, the messages. I didn’t expect any of it, and it meant more than you know! Thank you, and God bless you. PS: I looked up accident statistics yesterday and saw that only 15 percent of people break a bone in a collision at around 50 miles an hour. For a moment I thought I was Wolverine. Turns out I'm normal. Boring... :)
