Yeah it was very sad. My relationship with his mentor the great Al McGuire only made us closer. He came up to New York a few times and would have been marvelous TV analyst had he lived long enough.RIP🙏and I’m sure he and Al are sharing stories tonight in heaven.

Georgia getting wrecked for a second straight year in an 8-9 game. Mike White has definitely improved the program and Georgia shouldn’t take NCAA bids for granted, but it’s hard to be satisfied by getting blown out in the first round

@nwblackmon Georgia getting run ... and you won 5 vs. 12, 4 vs. 13, Texas and A&M were good wins... but those teams were only 2.5 underdogs - certainly not huge spreads.

Rumors of the SEC’s demise and downturn appear drastically overstated on day 1 of the NCAA Tournament. 5-0 overall. SEC Tournament Champ Arkansas rolls. Vanderbilt wins comfortably. Two double digit seeds win— Texas and A&M. Played like the top-ranked KenPom league.

Sienna played their heart out. Last year, we didn't see a lot of mid-majors make impact, this year feels different. Sienna impressive and big wins by High Point, VCU, and watch out for Saint Louis. Felt the A-10 and MWC should've gotten more teams in. ACC, SEC, and even Big Ten maybe got too many?

Classy post game from Jon and congratulations indeed to @SienaMBB and Gerry does deserve a ton of credit. A few bunny’s missed or @DukeMBB is done! Simple as that.

Molly Miller’s incredible first season at ASU comes to a close in the NCAA Tournament First Four. What an effort by the Sun Devils all season long, and props to Miller for pushing through an illness to be there for her team today.

Today is the 60th anniversary of Texas Western (now Texas El Paso) upsetting Kentucky in the NCAA tourney final 72-65 in 1965. Western had the 1st all black starting 5 in NCAA tourney history. Don Haskins was the coach. He beat the racist Adolph Rupp and segregated Kentucky.
