The RCQ system doesn't work: - huge disparity, RCQs with 8 ppl and RCQs with 40+ ppl (for 1 slot) - force the LGS to a format The RC/RCQ system must be thrown in the bin. PT invite should come mainly from Spotlights. Make more Spotlights.

Competitive system in Mtg looked good in theory, but it's losing its appeal There are so many RCQs that they've lost value, and the RC no longer feels exclusive It's a GP every few months, not a special event. Simple fix: limit RCQs to one per store. Make qualifying matters again

@MasterDuelist00 @fireshoes The foil promos at the Spotlight series is more than a participation price. You get it for doing well enough in the tournament to be placed in the top128 Players.

@fireshoes I still don’t understand why people get so angry about what is essentially a participation trophy. WOTC already provides cash prizes. It feels like people treat tournaments like a financial investment rather than a hobby (which is what it is for anyone not regularly topping).

Can Wizards start thoughtfully choosing to promos to commission for Regional Championships and Magic Spotlights, instead of from a pool of artwork already commissioned for Secret Lair? The cart is before the horse and is clearly why we keep getting shitty promos for large events.

Pretty interesting take on a Pyroclasm. Being an instant is nice, and if you can actually sneak for one it seems pretty strong (but the timing might be tricky, idk how often you want to Pyroclasm during your own combat phase).
