@nlyonne I work in high-tech R&D. We see AI not as a threat, but as a useful tool. It still takes imagination and insight to create our products. AI just makes it happen more efficiently.

@nlyonne Utter insanity I genuinely believe you & Ben & Matt here are good people but you are so misguided, literally making money by erasing genuine human creativity, no matter how you ethically manage it People, less privileged than you will lose their jobs & any hope of a future career

🎷Angela Lansbury and Garrett Morris in the ‘Murder, She Wrote’ episode ‘Murder to a Jazz Beat’ (1985) *Bonus points if you can spot the Capitol Records building and a palm tree or two, though the episode is supposedly set in New Orleans

@AllieJade1 I swear I knew this without searching for it. That's Nancy and Ann Wilson. It all started when Mike Fisher was drafted, and elected to go to Canada instead.

This singing duo was actually sold to Canadian audiences as "being" a Canadian band. Do you recognize them? Do you know how it came about that they were actually sold as a Canadian band, even though they were very much American?

@chrisalbon What’s more wild is that the salary of those CBP stationed are paid for by the host country. They all get diplomatic immunity too along with their family.

@Kristinartz Our family inherited a set of Encyclopedia Britannica from around 1900. It was great for homework so long as the subject was steam engines or birds.

Did anyone in your family ever own a full set of encyclopedias? Those heavy books sat on the shelf like treasure - we'd actually flip pages to look stuff up. Who remembers Britannica or World Book?

Criticizing travel expenses is a favourite of journalists and opposing politicians. But only 35 US states have aircraft for the Governors use. Most are not for their exclusive use and are cheaper to operate turboprops. Notably, California's Governor does not have a plane or even have a travel allowance. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_e…

I do not care if Doug Ford or Mark Carney or whoever else has a government plane. Just like I don’t care if we invest in 24 Sussex so people can actually live there. I find it embarrassing we constantly nickle and dime what’s normal in other countries.
