Triaged on a corridor, moved to an inappropriate ward. Treated by an under qualified staff member working out of scope amounting to gross negligence manslaughter.
This is the modern NHS and it makes me furious.
My condolences to Susan’s family, this is unacceptable.

PAs will use @gmcuk registration to further blur the lines between doctors and non-doctors.
Do you think a patient will be able to tell that a ‘GMC registered medical professional’ is NOT a doctor, when staff can’t?
PAs should be regulated by HCPC not GMC.

First and foremost; it’s nowhere near safe for patients.
But it also places an unreasonable burden and risk on the remaining doctors on the shift/rota.
They end up carrying more workload as the MAP isn’t competent or able to do what the doctor they’ve replaced could’ve done.

I cannot believe Kim Leadbeater has said on R4 “the UK has some of the best palliative care in the world”
Many palliative care doctors would publicly disagree with this and the Health Secretary has said the poor state of palliative care is one of the reasons he opposes the Bill
