URGENT ADVISORY FIRE SAFETY COMPLIANCE FOR THE UPCOMING FESTIVE SEASON To: All Occupiers/Owners of Eating Houses, Hotels & Clubs As we approach the festive season, footfall in hospitality venues is expected to rise significantly. Hence all of you are requested to ensure strict adherence to the following fire safety norms. ⚠️ Mandatory Compliance Checklist 1. Evacuation Plan: Ensure that evacuation and exit plans are displayed properly at conspicuous locations. 2. Exits & Escape Routes -Keep Exits Unlocked: All emergency exits must remain unlocked and free from obstruction during operational hours. -Clear Passageways: Staircases, corridors, and lobbies must not be used for storage or blocked by festive decorations. -Signage: Ensure "Emergency Exit" signage is illuminated and clearly visible, even in low light. 3. Valid Fire Safety Certificate (FSC) You must possess a valid and renewable FSC. Operating without a valid certificate is a violation of the law and poses a severe risk to public safety. Check your expiry dates immediately. 4. Fire Fighting Equipment -Ensure all fire extinguishers, hose reels, and sprinkler systems are functional and serviced. -Smoke detectors and fire alarms must be in working condition. 5. Electrical Safety -Avoid overloading electrical circuits with heavy festive lighting/equipment. -Ensure temporary wiring for decorations is insulated and laid out safely to prevent short circuits. 6. Staff Training -Your staff is the first line of defense. Ensure they are trained in basic firefighting and emergency evacuation procedures. -Conduct a mock drill prior to the peak season. 7. Crowd Management -Strict Adherence to Occupancy Limits: Do not admit guests beyond the sanctioned capacity of your venue. Overcrowding blocks escape routes and leads to stampedes during emergencies. Let us work together to ensure a joyous and accident-free upcoming festive season. Any negligence could cost lives. So Ensure the safety of all The safety of citizens is our top priority For Fire Emergencies, Dial: 101 or 112 @CMODelhi @ashishsood_bjp @LtGovDelhi @ChiefSecyDelhi #WeServeToSave #DelhiFireService #SafetyFirst #CelebrateFestivitySafely

Delhi Fire Service Advisory In the wake of the recent tragic fire at a Goa nightclub: When you step into a nightclub, bar, or any crowded entertainment venue, take 30 seconds for your own safety—and for everyone around you. Before you start enjoying, just look around and ask:
→ Where is the nearest emergency exit?
→ Is the path to it clear, or blocked by furniture, decorations, or speakers? If you notice any fire hazard—overcrowding, blocked exits, loose wiring, or anything that feels unsafe—don’t hesitate:
Inform the management right away or call the local authorities. Your vigilance can prevent a tragedy and save countless lives, including your own. Fire safety is everyone’s responsibility Stay alert, save lives #WeServeToSave #DelhiFireService #SafetyFirst #GoaNightclubFire

Delhi Fire Service Achieves 100% Digitalization for Fire Safety Certificate Renewals, Bolstering EoDB Mandate The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) has completed a major digital transformation initiative to streamline the Renewal of Fire Safety Certificates (FSC), in full alignment with the Government of India's Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) framework. This comprehensive overhaul addresses critical systemic inefficiencies, specifically the high consumption of staff time on manual document processing (sorting, retrieval, and transfer) and the applicant burden of limited digital access requiring multiple physical office visits. The new, end-to-end digital system offers: Universal and 24x7 Accessibility: Applicants gain round-the-clock access to the unified platform, enabling applications from any location and facilitating online file movement. Complete Digital Coverage: The service has expanded from a limited scope of only 3 sub-occupancies with partial digital application to 100% end-to-end digitalization for all 29 sub-occupancies, ensuring seamless processing across the board. Citizen-Centric Simplicity: The renewal process is significantly simplified. The initial application requires the upload of only four mandatory documents (PAN card, residence proof, old FSC, and a copy of Electric meter bill), with subsequent renewals becoming a near 'click-away' process. Automated Workflow: The tedious manual process—including manual file routing, inspection forms, manual approvals, and physical signature requirements—is replaced by a highly efficient, digitized workflow featuring real-time applicant notifications and auto-generated digital certificates. By fully digitizing the workflow from application submission through inspection, approval, and issuance, the DFS has successfully diverted valuable staff resources from administrative tasks back to core duties. @CMODelhi @ashishsood_bjp @ChiefSecyDelhi @LtGovDelhi #DelhiFireService #WeServeToSave #DutyFirst #OnlineFSCrenewal

Team DFS extends its warmest wishes to all citizens of Delhi for a joyful and prosperous Diwali! May the festival of lights bring happiness and well-being to your homes. While we celebrate, your safety remains our highest priority. We urge everyone to enjoy the festivities responsibly by following a few simple precautions. A little care goes a long way in preventing accidents and ensuring a happy, incident-free Diwali for everyone. Diwali Safety Advisory Firecrackers and Diyas Avoid Illegal Firecrackers: Only use firecrackers that are legally permitted. Maintain a Safe Distance: Light firecrackers in an open area, far away from dry grass, paper, buildings, and vehicles. Supervise Children: Never allow children to light fireworks unsupervised. Keep them at a safe distance from the ignition point. Proper Disposal: Always keep water or sand buckets nearby. Dispose of used or unexploded fireworks only after dousing them with water. Keep Diyas and Candles Away from Flammables: Place diyas and candles on stable, non-flammable surfaces and keep them away from curtains, furniture, paper decorations, and electric wires. Never Leave Them Unattended: Extinguish all lamps, candles, and diyas before going to bed. Electric Safety and Decorations Check Lighting: Inspect all serial lights (fairy lights) before use. Discard any with frayed wires or loose connections. Avoid Overloading Sockets: Do not plug too many strands of lights into a single socket. This can lead to overheating and a fire. Turn Off Lights: Always switch off decorative lighting before leaving your home or going to sleep. Emergency Contact In case of any fire emergency, do not panic. Immediately call the fire brigade. Fire Service Emergency Number: 101 Have a sparkling, safe, and truly happy Diwali! Issued in the public interest by the Delhi Fire Service. #WeServeToSave #DelhiFireService #DutyFirst #ServingDelhi

DFS clarifies False Claims on Bhramputra Apartment Fire Response. On 18/10/2025 at 13:22 hrs, Delhi Fire Service (DFS) received an emergency call via Fire Telephone-101 about a fire at Bhramputra Apartment, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, opp. RML Hospital. Our team sprang into action immediately by deploying 14 fire units from 03 Fire stations to the multistorey residence of Rajya Sabha members. Led by a Divisional Officer, DFS contained and extinguished the stilt-floor fire, involving CPWD storage materials. The total operation completed in 47 minutes (turnout at 13:23 hrs, stop at 14:10 hrs). Our swift response ensured no further escalation. Allegations claiming DFS ignored calls or arrived 25 minutes late are categorically false and baseless. DFS remains steadfast in our commitment to serve Delhi’s citizens with urgency and dedication, 24/7. We stand by our record and our mission to protect lives and property without fail. #WeServeToSave #DelhiFireService #DutyFirst  #ServingDelhi
