Need overland drainage advice. Who have people used to get water to move in dry land cropping scenario to create a design to move the least amount of dirt so that water doesn’t sit in low spots? Or do people use Terra Cutter or similar software on their own?

Exactly haven't tried really complex ones in JD but my gut feel is gen 4 should be ok. We are paying alot of money for these systems and for them to come with anything less than say Intel i5 processor should be outlawed, you can build a very powerful computer for under 2000 so for our 15000 we should be getting at least mediocre performance not 10 year old tech

2nd app of urea on canola vrt from last yrs wheat (yield x protein). Judging from maps and what the crop looks like im very happy with this strategy but there’s a bit in it to get it right. @soupercocky

@venningj @soilpED @brodenholland @DrewPfitzner Yes, but it under feeds the high yielding and high protein parts of your pd for next season, ie best soils. Obviously depends on the splits you specify, but high risk of lost opportunity in some cases.

God I love this app, from protein to urea map in 2 minutes then 30 seconds to the tractor, N-GAUGE just makes VR so simple. Coupled with operations centre it means seemless data transfer to tractors

@agrobaz @venningj @soilpED @brodenholland I’ve done urea maps based solely on prior protein maps. First time trialing it this year. As Baz has said there is potential that I have underfed the better parts. I’m pretty keen to analyse the results with SMS advanced to see what affect those VR maps had.

@stephensharvest With ours I found there would be some settings I’d change in the pro1200 and then not all bins I had switched on would sow. In the isobus settings on the pro1200 you can toggle the task controller. That has saved me a lot of headaches.

All the flashest, latest and greatest ag tech and it can't consistently log a simple coverage map. Almost like having a watch that doesn't tell the time.

@agrobaz @Rawalak_Farms @Fox_Farming The inversion graph is only part of the story. It would be good to add a vertical air speed component to see how much the air is being mixed. It definitely varies within our farm and between our tower and Baz’s. A proper definition of a hazardous inversion would be really helpful

Some very interesting inversion measurements this week. Last night very irregular, as with the 8th. The rest very strong all night. Not much opportunity for spraying of late. Thankfully most has been done out here for a while now.

@cropmad @desertfarmer84 The hard part about fixing that is knowing what size inductors have failed and why it did it in the first place and what else it's taken with it...

@DrewPfitzner Interesting. The tax payer (us) has forked out a gazillion $’s to telcos for hard wiring ..... & we’re forced to use the mobile network in the bush..... not even remotely called “the sticks”.

I'm sure many have gone through this frustrating process of reading reports on "best value" #internet! Who has the best value for money, & highest download/upload etc. etc. #fixedwireless internet service for #rural users?
