Idk what you think single player 1st party games is going to do for them when its clear that most ps5 owners dont buy them based on the console… i also dont know why you guys are happy at the thought of them not being on PC when Sony CLEARLY NEEDS those sales 😂 Itll take a long time for them to turn that ship. It takes 5+ years to make games and most of their games in production are GAAS. Thats the future of PS right now

If any good comes from these recent closures it's that the GAAS bubble has burst and Sony looks to be back on track for their single player games. They're even stopping mobile games, and of course no more PC ports.

@Glassdoorgamer You don't have to spend thousands of dollars to beat out a PS5, the only issue I can think of in my two decades of PC gaming is bad frame times on certain ports, but they still run and look better than any console. As far as exclusives go, PC has infinitely more. Also:

True. I was just pointing out that it ran higher than 30 on quality, but yeah it doesnt fall in that VRR window since its not as wide as it is on Series X, which is why i usually go with the series x version of 3rd party games… usually lol. I really only played this game in performance mode where it runs much higher. I will say this though, that pssr 2 is making whatever resolution its running in performance mode look alot higher. It looks as sharo as the quality mode looks, which DOESNT use pssr. Im actually impressed

@Duppypixels @Nick_Marseil Pro in quality mode unlocked rarely goes above 45fps, the VRR window for PS5/Pro is 48-120Hz so you would rather lock at 30fps in that scenario. The XSX has a wider VRR window and on a system level at 40-120Hz.

Crimson Desert PS5 and PS5 Pro equivalent PC settings. PS5 Pro will soon be $800 and it would still be a good price for it.

@Duppypixels @Tabsf1 @Nick_Marseil That's not how VRR works, the game is capped at 30, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) just matches the screens refresh rate with the frame rate to make it seem a bit smoother, but the Framerate stays the same

@afall40 @Tabsf1 @Nick_Marseil Sure i do, it basically stitches loose frames together… but regardless if you play this game in quality mode (or any other mode) with VRR enabled, it unlocks the fps and gives you more frames.

Facts. U can love something and still be honest. I'm loving crimson desert. Pleasantly surprised and its prolly gonna end up in my goty list. I've enjoyed every second and think its a banger. However I wouldn't recommend it at $70. Get it on sale. They botched the launch.

@Tabsf1 @Nick_Marseil 30fps? Quality mode is much higher with VRR lol its not LOCKED at 30. Same goes for base ps5 and series x

@Nick_Marseil 1st shot is using the Pro Quality settings (Native 4K). 2nd is using the Pro Performance settings (1080p-4K). 3rd is Max settings and Ray Reconstruction. 1st - My PC 84fps vs Pro 30fps. 2nd - My PC 125fps vs Pro 60fsp (low 70s VRR). 3rd - My PC 70fps.
