The last Trump Midterm had 75K more voters show up in that district. So, no, it did not.
PA-18 was a megafluke in 2018 despite having much higher midterm turnout than the previous midterm.
Midterm turnout is an irrelevant benchmark, if anything it indicates higher turnout than usual in 2026, which is going to probably benefit Rs overall given the circumstances.

@NoLuckLopez My most unhinged version of this would be to use eminent domain (unsure of the exact laws in Vic in this area, so might need to pass new legislation), and just force sales - although there are enough already on the market to make a start.

Here's a screenshot of houses for sale in the inner east that sit on a block of land of more than 1000m2, which would be large enough theoretically to build an apartment tower.
You'd need to take all power away from NIMBY local councils and HMA's though so they have zero say in any of it.
