Police in Fayetteville, NC say Rodney Robinson Jr, 36, was charged with crimes for trespassing and threatening his ex-girlfriend Shayna Marie Raynor, 34, but they were dismissed on March 3rd.
Then he allegedly murdered her on March 12th.

NEW: Fort Myers woman fatally beaten outside Chevron gas station on MLK Blvd
Surveillance video from the Chevron gas station and D&D Convenience Store on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard shows a man repeatedly striking a woman’s vehicle with a hammer at 6 a.m. this morning.
The victim, a clerk at the store, exited to confront him. The man then approached her and fatally struck her with the hammer, knocking her to the ground.
He continued striking her before casually walking away.
Police are searching for the armed and dangerous suspect.
Nearby schools were placed on lockdown during the search.
The investigation is ongoing.

NEW: Monroeville man dies in police custody after being given Narcan; was seen being dragged to the police cruiser
35-year-old Ammarin Lada Tunstall died on March 30, 2026, after being arrested by Monroeville police.
Witnesses reported seeing officers chase him into a wooded area where he was heard screaming for help. During the encounter, Tunstall became unresponsive.
Officers administered Narcan before transporting him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A controversial video that circulated on social media shows two officers dragging the limp Tunstall by his arms toward a patrol car.
Family members and witnesses have called the treatment “inhumane.”
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and State Bureau of Investigation are investigating.
An autopsy is pending.
