@MTJ_TITANS4EVER @Team54Zach 3 Wins in 6 seasons driving a JGR affiliate car puts you on the lesser side of talent, so yes he is included. Especially when your teammate nearly has double that this year alone.

If Toyota is crushing, they are cheating. If Chevy is crushing, its dominance. These are the rules with the sub-section of dumb NASCAR fans.

@jeff_gluck Think it’s time to take step away from NASCAR again. I tried to get back into it but this car & racing is horrendous. On top of that, JGR/23/11 clearly has an advantage over the rest of the field & it’s just not enjoyable anymore

@Frontstretch That’s because the old school regular average Joe getting behind the wheel of a car is long over. Now everyone is a corporate rich kid who has been trained by PR how to act, what to say, how to dress etc. authenticity is gone from this sport & that’s what the fans really crave

Many have blamed rule changes, the Gen7 car, and horsepower levels, alongside a host of other issues, for NASCAR's viewership and attendance problems. But the real culprit for viewership and attendance problems could be the lack of star power in NASCAR. frontstretch.com/2026/04/15/nas…

@razorquake @ChampagneRacin What does that have to do with it dipshit? KB has done nothing to elevate that team. Good drivers elevate struggling teams & overachieve. But he’s just wrecking himself and others every week

@Ericwillhelm @ChampagneRacin I can’t even begin to explain how wrong you are here It’s been statistically proven to be an RCR issue, “can barely win in trucks” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 yeah ok loll, and you say I’m the delusional one

@razorquake @ChampagneRacin You’re delusional. Blame RCR all you want but ADillon outruns him every race & he’s not even that good of a driver. KB is done, he can barely even win in Trucks

@nmfitzp @Chad__15 I’m not disagreeing. I think Indycar is the worst run racing series in the world. And RP has somehow made it worse

@Ericwillhelm @Chad__15 Why would I put together a part-time oval program if it's only possible for me to enter at most one race? If I miss Indy I might want to try to qualify for Michigan or Pocono or Kentucky or Texas with that car I prepped oh wait they don't race there and the field is limited

@nmfitzp @Chad__15 Had spec Dallara chassis & all Honda engines back in 2011 & nearly 40 cars showed up. It can be done, but everyone is too scared of the wrong driver or sponsor going home & leaving the sport entirely

@Chad__15 Sure it means something, but without chassis constructors competing and engine builders competing and tire manufacturers competing and mechanics competing it's missing an essential element

@Chad__15 Quite frankly for me the Indy 500 should be a whole month of drama not just a race. When I see only 33 cars entered it makes me lose interest in the whole race & I don’t even bother watching. If teams aren’t lining up to attempt to qualify then I have no reason to even watch

@Chad__15 Honda & Chevy should be required to have 20 engine leases a piece up and ready for the month of May. Not saying you get 40 entries but it takes pressure off one off teams trying to get an engine for the race

@Chad__15 The problem is that the biggest motor race in the world is run by the worst run racing series in the world. Indycar is a junk product that has only gotten worse since RP took over. And the prestige of Indy is all but gone

Not sure I really have an idea how to fix it but just seems like relying on current teams to field cars for the 500 just isn’t the safest bet. Have to find ways to attract one off entries. #INDYCAR #INDY500

@bcschneider53 Well that’s my point. Winner especially should have been full time in the 29. He was a veteran driver with solid numbers in the Busch Series. If JBurton really had to run races he should have split the 21 with Harvick. Bowyer was also running the majority of races in the 2

Of course, you could also argue that Wimmer should have been full-time in the 29 to battle Edwards for the drivers’ title (and/or that someone like Travis Kvapil should have been in the 60 instead), but who knows how that would have turned out.

Perhaps the case in some years, but I’d argue it actually had the opposite effect in ‘07. Even though Edwards ran away with the drivers’ title, the owners’ battle put some spotlight on Wimmer in particular holding his own against those Cup stars.
Ericwillhelm@Ericwillhelm

@bcschneider53 Honestly Owners Championships really ruined mid 2000s O’Reilly series. There was more focus on cars with a bunch of cup drivers fighting for a championship no one cares about than there was on series regulars who were just trying to make a name for themselves

The following week at Montreal was a Jeff Burton race...so Scott Wimmer did for Burton what Brandon Miller had just done for him, qualifying the 29 before handing it over to Burton for the race. ESPN's Allen Bestwick also gives us an owner points update... #AlwaysStayUnderGreen
Ben Schneider@bcschneider53

In 2004, RCR development driver Brandon Miller made his Busch Series debut in the team's 29 car. Three years later, he returned to the seat at IRP to qualify on behalf of Scott Wimmer, who was making a rare Cup appearance in the team's 33 car at IMS. #AlwaysStayUnderGreen

@floridabadboy69 @Chad__15 Oh yeah? So if he is so serious about being a nascar driver why is he not running a full season of ARCA first? He just wants to be a big shot driving in a series he has no business in

@Chad__15 @Ericwillhelm NASCAR has literally been saying this and posting the stats, yet some think they know better than NASCAR, Biffle, Dale Jr, and Childress. “Gaining YouTube subscribers” is probably so far down the list of what is on his mind, he’s not Mr Beast 🤣

Might be an unpopular opinion but I don’t mind Cleetus attempting a NASCAR career. I’d rather have someone who is self made and brings a huge fan base to the sport over someone with a rich daddy who never had to earn anything. #NASCAR

Cale Conley finished 32nd at Darlington in 2014 driving the 33 for RCR followed by a 30th (Iowa). He was running at the end of those races. Why didn't the media hail those finishes as successes for Cale? Why didn't he receive as much media attention as the race winner?

@FWRobbins45 @RedddJr @jeff_gluck Yep exactly. We did this with Pastrana, did it with Danica. Now Cleetus. We’ll celebrate the temporary ratings spike but fail to address why the sport has lost so many viewers & why we can’t promote talented legit drivers but will bend of backwards for a YouTube clown show.

@Ericwillhelm @RedddJr @jeff_gluck It's another example of NASCAR finding ways to avoid fixing legitimate problems with the series. Rather than that, let's bring in a popular influencer who will give us a temporary boost in numbers
