The Holy Shroud of Turin is REAL! The Shroud of Turin is a 14 foot linen cloth that has been studied more than any other artifact in human history. It bears the image of a crucified man with wounds consistent with crucifixion, a crown of thorns, scourging, and a spear wound to the side, matching the Gospel accounts of the death of Jesus exactly. In 1976 two scientists put a photograph of the Shroud into a VP-8 Image Analyzer. Every other image they had ever analyzed produced a distorted result. The Shroud produced a perfect, accurate 3D image of a human body. No photograph or painting in history has ever done this. Italian government scientists at ENEA then spent 5 years attempting to recreate the image using the most powerful ultraviolet lasers available in the world. They concluded that to reproduce the image across an entire human body would require 34 trillion watts of ultraviolet light. The most powerful UV light source available today produces several billion watts. The gap is so large it is effectively impossible. The image appears only on the outermost fibers of the cloth, penetrating no deeper than 2 to 4 micrometers, which rules out every known painting, chemical, or contact technique. Pollen from plant species native to the Middle East was found on the cloth. Lead researcher Paolo Di Lazzaro concluded the image was almost impossible to replicate with any technology currently known to science.
