Lately, I’ve been focused on analyzing air quality across selected African countries.
The goal is to evaluate pollution levels by comparing each country’s PM10 and PM2.5, NO2 values against the WHO recommended limits.
During the analysis, I discovered that some countries have missing PM10, PM2.5, and NO2 data. This gap makes it difficult to accurately compare pollution levels across all countries.
To address this, I cleaned the dataset and created helper columns to better organize and filter the available insights. Interestingly, the absence of data is also meaningful, it highlights regions where air quality monitoring may be limited, despite the possibility of high pollution levels. This, in itself, raises the need for improved data coverage and environmental monitoring.
I’m approaching this step by step using Excel, with the aim of uncovering insights that can support informed health and environmental decisions.
