🚨 REAL MADRID OFFICIAL STATEMENT: In response to the statements made by candidate Enrique Riquelme, in which he claims that only one of the candidates has access to the club's membership list, as well as the doubts and mistrust expressed regarding the safekeeping of postal votes, this Electoral Board states the following: 1. The Electoral Board has not provided the membership list to any of the candidates running in the elections on June 7th. 2. The Electoral Board has informed both candidates, in writing, of the procedure for sending information, documentation, and materials to club members. Furthermore, candidate Enrique Riquelme was informed of this procedure in person on the day he submitted his candidacy. 3. This procedure is established in the regulations governing the electoral process (point 2 of the section on the membership list), which were published for this purpose. The rules explain that candidates must provide the Electoral Board with the information, documentation, and materials they wish to send to members, and the club is responsible for the distribution. 4. The Electoral Board set Monday, June 1st, at 6:00 PM as the deadline for receiving the information, documentation, and materials that each candidate wished to send to members. 5. The Electoral Board is deeply concerned by the statements made by Enrique Riquelme, which cast doubt on the custody and security of postal votes. In response to a question from Riquelme's candidacy on this matter, the Electoral Board issued a written reply, from which we transcribe the following excerpt: “In order to reinforce transparency and confidence in the integrity of the postal vote custody procedure, candidates who so request may designate one of the duly accredited poll watchers to remain continuously in the vicinity of the entrance to the room designated for the custody of the votes. The presence of the poll watchers in this area will be understood to be within the existing surveillance and security systems of the club's facilities, and will be subject to the applicable video surveillance regulations and the processing of images as appropriate under current legislation.” 6. Therefore, any information, documentation, or material that has reached members of any candidacy from the club has been processed in accordance with current procedures and regulations. 7. The Electoral Board is rigorously and precisely following the applicable regulations at all times during this electoral process, and therefore requests respect for this process.
