This just feels empty. The no trophy jealousy from other fans just got to him. If Sonny lifts the Europa league trophy it will mean so much more!

@FPLCesar I just don't think anyone ever really believed the trophy argument. It was just a stick to beat him with because he was the best striker in the world. Breaking the premier league goalscoring record would mean more than a Bundesliga with Bayern. On the 2nd attempt.

@fantasyfooty @soucekyoself I do agree with your initial statement tbf. I just think Rooney isn't a great example. He had a much longer career than lots of very early prodigal talents and peaked in the middle of that, as most players do. It's very silly to say anybody will be the best ever at 18 etc

“Yamal is going to be the best player ever” There is a complete misunderstanding on how football players develop. It’s very rarely a straight line upwards, it’s different for different players. Rooney’s peak was when he was 18 at Euro 2004. Was never better.
