Tldr, they are air-cooled chips so we can deploy ultra fast, we disaggregated workflows from prefill and decode to have champion economics (passed onto end users) and we can operate 10t parameter models on one rack without having to tie together 10's to 100's of chips like cerebras and groq. Over all we can offer ultra fast inference 700 tps - 2k tps cheaper than all the rest

There r 3 chips for doing fast inference that work and are at production scale. Groq (sold to Nvidia) cerebras (100% of forward chips purchased by open ai) and SambaNova - we are positioned yo be the largest customer. Tldr no open ai hasnt solved it, but they are migrating workloads to cerebras mainly codex spark
