I have written to the Home Secretary @ShabanaMahmood today, with MP colleagues, asking her to consider giving police officers the freedom to form an alternative to the Police Federation. I have also secured a debate in Parliament on this topic - to be held on Wednesday 15 April.

@gmhales Wonder if this could mean that the SFO could be folded into the NPS. Ultimately less complicated than splitting up the City or merging it with the MPS…

Interesting to hear that fraud will be included in the remit of the National Police Service. I imagine that means City of London Police will be folded into the Met.

@wmarybeard @VodafoneUK Had a similar issue in a town just outside Cambridge. Had to bite the bullet and get a contract with a different provider (Virgin Media). Managed to get a refund & some compensation from Vodafone but was rage inducing nonetheless.

Aaagh! Anyone else in Cambridge had trouble with @VodafoneUK & City Fibre? Cable connection being replaced with Fibre. City Fibre been 3 times & didn’t manage to lay fibre. V.fone now cut off cable connection (assuming job done) & say they can’t reinstate. No internet! No help.
