@AndyTFE @BrendanPorath @TheRealPJClark Report from Jockey Club. Course is in the best shape EVER. Will get firmer on the weekend and should be close to as true as it gets for this place, so this butchering is 100% bomb and gouge modern golf.

It’s surprising ppl don’t understand this. Tiger reached such a level of fame that he did all he could to be the most boring interview on earth. He actively sought to be bland. On the course, he was electric. With a mic, he gave you little. Scottie is vulnerable & insightful.

After missing the first 5 events of the 2025 season due to injury, Jinichiro Kozuma rallied to finish 32nd on the LIV Golf League Individual Standings and just outside of the automatic Lock Zone. He was also the best performing player on his team by quite a distance and finished higher than 14 players who remain on the league for 2026. Given all that, you’d expect his status for 2026 would be secure. Especially when Luis Masaveu from Spain, who finished in the Drop Zone having played more events than Jinichiro, has been re-signed to the all- Spanish Fireballs GC when he should have been relegated. However, Jinichiro has been released by LIV Golf. What’s even more surprising is he only found out his fate from a social media post that came after the LIV Golf Promotions Event had been played. Meaning he didn’t even have the opportunity to re-qualify. Speaking to Bob Harig of Sports Illustrated via a translator, Jinichiro said: “There were definitely a few parts of the process that surprised me. For example, I only found out recently that Kevin Na would no longer be the captain, so that was unexpected for me as well. “Also, since last year, I personally didn’t receive any direct communication from the Iron Heads organization. Because of that, there was a period where it was difficult to fully understand what the situation was. So overall, the way things unfolded was a bit unexpected, and I was simply trying to stay patient and figure out the best next steps.” He went on to say: “Toward the end of last year, I heard that there was a possibility the Iron Heads might transition into a Korean-based team. At the same time, I was also told that if that happened, there was a chance I wouldn’t be able to remain with the team. After that, however, there were a lot of rumors and the situation seemed to change from time to time. So for a while, I wasn’t completely sure what the final decision would be. “The moment I clearly understood that I wouldn’t be playing for the Iron Heads moving forward was when I saw the official Instagram post announcing the Korean team [which came on Jan. 12]. That was when everything became clear for me.” “Rather than receiving a clear, official explanation like ‘this is the specific reason we are not renewing your contract,’ I felt that team restructuring and overall direction played a major role in the decision. To better understand what the options might be for next season, I reached out directly to several general managers to see whether there could be an opportunity for me to join their teams. “What I found was that teams seemed to be building their rosters not only based on results but also based on team identity and the type of player profile they were looking for. In that sense, I think it was simply difficult to find the right fit for me within the available team openings at that time.” To observers, it appears that the Japanese Jinichiro Kozuma has lost his status purely due the fact that he isn’t Korean and he didn’t fit with the rebrand from Ironheads GC to Korean Golf Club. Considering LIV Golf are currently pushing for OWGR approval and want to build a more merit based pathway system, this is a terrible look for the league.

Cameron Smith made double bogey on the last to shoot a second round 75 and miss the cut at the BMW Australian PGA Championship. That makes it missed cuts in back to back weeks for Cam and 7 out of 7 for the year. What’s going on with the former world number 2? 😳

@AndyTFE Having listened to you both since the start, I decided this year to choose a team. It was between the Bears and the Browns. I am now a Bears fan. I’ve copped a lot of flak over here saying I’ve picked a perennial under performer, but it seems I’ve picked a great time to join 🐻⬇️

Tough day for all the accounts (you know the ones) that have breathlessly defended a 54-hole format while every golf fan with common sense rejected it. Eager to watch the back-tracking!
