I’m excited to share the news of my forthcoming book, Dominican Political Rising in NYC: A Case Study of Urban Ethnic Political Incorporation. Those who know me understand that this is a project dear to my heart and born out of my community. This academic work, published by @Palgrave, will be available in both print and digital formats across multiple platforms. I am deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to making this project possible. I am also currently working on a Spanish edition, which I hope to publish by the fall. Last month, the City Council passed two bills related to the constitutional right to protest — one for houses of worship, and one for educational institutions. Today, I’m letting one bill go into effect, and vetoing the other. I’d like to take a moment to explain why. As Mayor, I will always make sure the right to protest, prayer and protection are guaranteed for every New Yorker.

Building on the Jewel Streets Neighborhood Plan 🏡 Linden Blvd is getting bus lanes and safety upgrades. This means faster commutes for 60,000 riders and a safer, more connected corridor for the community.
