@erikbryn Congress cant create laws which are repugnant to constitutional requirements. And interpretation of constitutional repugnance is subject to review by Article III. This is wheelhouse Madison v Marbury territory.

Question for Constitutional Law scholars: If the US Constitution says "The validity of the public debt of the United States shall not be questioned” but Congress passes a law saying the public debt will not be paid under certain circumstances, who prevails? Does the US default?
