We’re happy to be able to let you know that Jerry is home. He was discharged from hospital on Friday evening. One of the first things he did on Saturday was to check the equipment, he wanted to do a stream yesterday but thankfully realised it was far too soon! We did a little drive around @HeathrowAirport with our members and it was wonderful to see Jerry slip right back into avgeek mode, even if it was only for a short ‘road-trip’! We want to thank you all for your incredible support the past few weeks, it’s very hard to put into words how much it means to us both. It’s been so valuable as we navigated the devastating complications he suffered following his heart surgery. Thank you just doesn’t seem enough ❤️🙌 We’d also like to thank the cardiac and neurology teams at St George’s @geshNHS and the stroke team at St Peter’s @ASPHFT for taking good care of our Jerry ❤️ Now we focus on his recovery so he can get back out there sharing our love of aviation with you all. “Slowly, slowly catchy cruiser” ✈️ Gilly & Jerry

Here it it! The first pics of @AlaskaAir’s Boeing 787 in the stunning new global livery. It’s inspired by the northern lights, and this may just be the prettiest airplane I’ve ever seen from the outside.

It will be deployed on the airline’s upcoming nonstop services connecting Mumbai to Athens (Greece) from January 23, 2026, and Delhi to Athens from January 24, 2026, operating thrice weekly on both routes.

Ground crews immediately moved the aircraft to a hangar to inspect the engines for "ingestion," where bird remains can cause internal blade damage or engine failure. Berniq Airways confirmed that all 155 people on board were deplaned safely and without injury.

According to flight data, the aircraft had reached a speed of approximately 156 knots when it encountered a dense flock of birds, which forced the crew to perform a rejected takeoff. The aircraft's radome sustained dents and multiple punctures. ⬇️
