A delegation led by Dr. Charles Karangwa, Director General of RFI, paid a courtesy call on the Rt. Hon. Chief Justice of Rwanda, MUKANTAGANZWA Domitilla. The delegation comprised of the President of the International Association of Forensic Sciences (IAFS) and his team. Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration in forensic science development, particularly in crime scene investigation.

It was a pleasure to participate in a five-day training on Responsible Reporting on Forensic Science and Forensic Laboratory Findings, held from 19–23 January 2026 at the @ForensicsRwanda

The training enhanced my skills in the accurate, ethical, and responsible communication of forensic operations and laboratory findings, emphasizing clarity, objectivity, and adherence to professional standards.

5 days training in responsible reporting on forensic laboratory findings held on 19th to 23 January 2026 at Rwanda forensic institute Kigali. This enhance the knowledge of the trainers in the accurate and ethical Commucation of forensic operations and laboratory report content.

RFI team is currently undertaking a 5 training on ISO/IEC 17025, the international standard that defines the requirements for laboratory competence and compliance. This training, conducted in partnership with the Rwanda Standards Board (RSB), forms a key preparatory step toward achieving laboratory accreditation and strengthening RFI’s quality management systems.
