I’m of the opinion that our summer window transfer business is more important than our managerial appointment… imho if Carrick’s getting the job give him a two year contract with an extra year based on progress… we don’t need managers on big wages on stupidly long contracts

We may have rode our luck on Saturday night but to go in to a game of that importance with Heaven as our only recognised centre back says a lot about the coaches working under the manager.. 2 days to prepare that back four was some achievement & it was good to see MC praise them

Gabriel was very smart by headbutting Haaland and not accidentally removing his hair bobble in an aerial duel. By avoiding 'violent conduct' he receives a yellow card rather than a red and three-game suspension. Well done, good process.

As much as im glad Gabriel isnt out of the run in, the application of laws in the Premier League is a complete lottery. Even if the referee hasnt sent him off there, how hasnt the VAR? It's only 6 days since one intervened on somebody feeling somebodys hair.

Great win that last night. I hope the club take the opportunity over the summer to push this squad on. There is a good base there, but needs some signings to take us up an extra level. If they don't, it will be selling any manager short.
