Yesterday was the start of my presidential year. It’s the first time the role has been taken on by a female state secondary school teacher, still active in the classroom. Feeling lots of expectation (mainly from me) but I will be 10% braver & share my journey! @WomenEd

@Trooper10617919 @climbdg5 @geography_DAF @thisis_holly Cheaper by about £1700… we used coaches between Norwich and UEA and then UEA to Cromer. Never looking back!

With our coaches cancelling 36 hours before the trip, 74 kids on the train it was. Thank you to the BEST team for pulling it all off (@geography_DAF & @thisis_holly). Weather wasn’t too bad either… 🚂🦞🌊☀️

Interesting day discussing David Gardner's book on curriculum this afternoon @IOE_London - excellent practical framework for any #geographyteacher wanting to create a coherent curriculum

Another exciting event for the @EastGeography hub & @QMULGeography is our student conference on 9th June, pm. Times to be confirmed. To be held at QMUL, with a focus on climate change. Aimed at post -16 students. Watch this space for more info. DM me for a calendar invite.

A great day of Dorset fieldwork. So many things I have wanted to Tweet about as I walked along and I even considered a blog post earlier. However, I am exhausted now! Mini bus 🚌 driving and lovely sunshine ☀️ , followed by a drenching ☔️. Need to get to bed 🛌!

Just been playing with this & I can't believe (in a overly excited geography teacher way), the data and mapping/graphing tools that are available now. Trying to get the data to make a pop pyramid for a UK case study was a painstaking process in the past. This is brilliant.
