The rightwing bores whinging about this are something else. I'm laughing at her comic timing. She says: "Actions speak louder than words" and immediately walks off. It's impossible not to find that funny! More broadly: I think people should vote on policy issues! Glad to help

The vertical whiteboards and "productive buzz" of Building Thinking Classrooms (BTC) are sweeping through schools, but engagement is not achievement. Experts like @rastokke , @MrZachG , and @greg_ashman are sounding the alarm that we are trading mathematical mastery for a classroom aesthetic. ​The shift toward "de-fronting" the classroom often ignores Cognitive Load Theory, leaving novice learners to flounder in unproductive struggle while major publishers drive implementation ahead of the scientific evidence. Success breeds engagement, not the other way around. If we want students to love math, we must ensure they are actually competent at it. Simply the best defector yet. Andrew is someone who stands up for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and all our overseas territories. A true Brexiteer and someone who will bring his knowledge of Parliamentary procedures and campaigning to @reformparty_uk Will be interesting to see if Conservative HQ try to demonise him. Will be difficult for them!

@TeachInGlasgow @MrRobHistory @Headteacherchat There are something like 250 full time inspectors (HMI), the rest are OIs who are contracted on an inspection by inspection basis. Some of these are LA or trust leaders as a 'main job, others HT or other senior leaders, a smaller number are HoDs.

What is the best piece of advice you can give someone who has an OFSTED in the next few days?
