@sainsburys really enjoyed doing the Christmas shop this morning; especially the bit where the assistant took everything out of all the bags to rescan the whole shop at the self service checkout.
English

@ToonDazza @Tesco It’s clearly says ‘Merry Christmas’ at the bottom you melt. 🤦♂️
English

@SamanthaTaghoy This is an overly simplistic solution to complex issue. Where does the person who committed the crime face justice? Where would they carry out their sentence? There would be no obligation for the receiving country to do anything. Will your slogan be ‘Do the crime, face no time’?

@CatharineHoey @YvetteCooperMP Either you’re a moron or you are just trying to stoke the fire. Which is it?
English

Question to the Crown Prosecution Service and @YvetteCooperMP why,if some involved in violent crimes at the weekend have already been charged, appeared in court and been sentenced can the man who killed the Southport children not be dealt with as quickly.?
English

@PTstephenB @sam_carling_ @andrewpakes_ @paulbristow79 @ShaileshVara You could ask Shailesh where he’s been? Live in the constituency for over a decade and have never heard from or seen the man. Certainly couldn’t tell you anything he’s done.
English

We are hoping to sit down and have interviews with @sam_carling_ and @andrewpakes_ in the next few days - as well as with @paulbristow79 and @ShaileshVara following last week's election - is there anything you would want to ask them?
English

@OwenJones84 With this in mind, should you have campaigned for Labour to give them a stronger voice against Reform? Voting Green doesn’t seem to have helped.

The #GeneralElection2024 is tomorrow.
It's also my first time voting in a general election - after becoming British (at the council in Huntingdon) 4 years ago.
I could have never imagined when I moved to the UK 12 years ago that I'll be a citizen, a councillor and now the Labour parliamentary candidate in Huntingdon.
There have been so many people during my journey in politics who have supported me - I am in politics because I want to use my lived experience as well as my experiences in work and local government to create opportunities for others - especially those who have not been as lucky as I have been.
This campaign has only been possible due to hundreds of hours of volunteer time, from the leaflet bundling after midnight after days of work and council meetings, to the weekend canvassing across towns and villages, to the daily social media videos showing some of the realities of the campaign.
Whatever the result tomorrow, I will be forever grateful to all those who supported me during this amazing journey.
Change is possible in Huntingdon if you vote for it. Polls are open from 7am - 10pm.

4 days left til the #generalelection! 🌹
The daily video for today is not from me, but from some of the residents in the Huntingdon constituency who are voting Labour this election.
Video entirely produced by volunteers 😊

@soulboy731 Breakfast clubs provide wrap around care for parents so that they can go to work. Would you rather put tax payers money into schemes like this or supporting people out of work? We pay £15 a day for one child, who has breakfast at home then goes to club so that we can get to work
English

@GinnyHBall It’s about childcare! We feed our children then send them to breakfast club so that we can get to work. I pay £15 per day to do this.
English

Why should everyone pay for state breakfasts for children, if you cannot afford to feed your children don't have them #Simples #Familyplanning
English

@alexbeckett I went through the questionnaire. Not a single question about Peterborough. Populist politics from @paulbristow79 and no interest in the real issues faced by P’Boro.
English

Very curious as to how Paul is planning to 'protect' single sex spaces? Are we going to have guards mandating people lift up their skirts/drop their trousers for a quick check? What a despicable idiot trying to stir hate simply to win a few cheap votes.
John Elworthy@johnelworthy
The electorate of Peterborough will surely rid us of this despicable, desperate and homophobic MP @paulbristow79 How dare he use a @Conservatives 'survey' in this way
English

@TUIUK I appreciate your concern. This was not the case on Saturday. The change of flight plan has lost us a day of our holiday, we arrive after the hire company closes and now having to book another nights accommodation to manage flying back in the early hours of the AM with a 2yr old
English

@Support_TuiUK44 I’m travelling with my wife, our 2 year old and 6 year old. Do we have to pay the extra charge or will you seat children with the adults?
English

@JonWales123 @amymayforrester There was a discussion. We agreed on what content to put on the posters; some info was added some removed. Our designs are much less formal than the example on social media and don’t have uni logos.
What is your objection? ‘Crass’ is a little vague.
English

@Gezy @amymayforrester Did you think that might be because it was presented = directed, rather than discussed?
I wouldn’t participate in it. I think it’s crass. Regardless of how much presenting is done, nobody can be compelled.
I suspect there were others who, unlike me, don’t say NO.
English

The amount of kick back on this is bizarre to me. I didn’t know any adults who had been to uni when I was younger. But the idea of going was normalised in my school so it seemed like an aspirational but achievable aim. It changed my life.
David Scales@MrDavidScales
All staff (support and teaching) will now promote university and real alternatives outside their classrooms in these new clip frames. Small thing, but it also means we can change displays and promotions each half term. Hoping it will prompt conversations that build aspiration.
English

@JonWales123 @amymayforrester It was presented to all staff as an idea, not a directive, with the clear focus being that it would be used as a conversation starter with students. To get them talking about diverse career routes. No staff objected to me or their line managers.
English

@Gezy @amymayforrester Supposing ‘all staff’ don’t want such a thing?! They see it as crass. I wouldn’t participate and neither would many I know.
I hate this ‘all staff’ nonsense - as if staff are a homogeneous group. Staff have choices. Be prepared for them to make their own.
