@WUTangKids They'll probably go with German subs but point taken. Even if the US built non-nuclear subs, Canada wouldn't buy from them. Australia is going to find out the hard way.

@WhiskyAdvocate The market for overpriced, limited edition, cask finished whisky has evaporated. Not even collectors are bothering right now.

@Bill_Linnane Could you please put an asterisk next to all the Irish distilleries quietly sourcing product? John Teeling recently said 60% of them use Great Northern. Personally, that gives me similar vibes to Scottish sourced "Japanese" whisky until very recently. Trust comes at a cost.

@IrishWhiskeyMag Fundamentally, Irish whiskey is horribly over-priced. Much of it NAS and sourced to boot.

As a business, but more so as Irish whiskey lovers, this hits hard. Being part of this wonderful sector it's difficult to step back and look at the bigger picture, but there is no sense in admiring the "Emperor's New Clothes". The reality is that there is oversupply, a changing demographic and drink culture, increasingly high costs of production, and a cost of living crisis in many markets. We cannot ignore pricewise also that Irish Whiskey needs to realign with global competitors. Of course there are other factors which we will look at in the future. This is more bad news for the Irish Whiskey sector as Roe & Co ceases production. What the long term plan for Roe & Co are will become clearer soon and as always our thoughts are with those who created some fantastic whiskey and a great distillery. thespiritsbusiness.com/2025/06/roe-co… #IrishWhiskey #IrishWhiskeyNews

Can't wait for the NHL to go back to the old Draft style next year. Bettman constantly at the Mic and the TV screens to greet picks falls flat.

#NHL team draft value charts indicate that #isles packaging Nos. 16 and 17 overall are roughly worth the equivalent of one pick between No. 4-6 overall. However, since everyone knows the target, there is an emotional and leverage premium that won't make it easy for NYI.

CF MTL GO!
