@buromur yes, it's largely pre-Grothendieck. I agree that there's still room for a synthetic philosophy of geometry that takes schemes, categories, stacks, and modern algebraic geometry seriously. An opportunity, isn't it? Do you know of any work in that direction?

@Haniel_Ulises I am assuming it does not talk about modern algebraic geometry a la grothendieck? There is some need for synthetic philosophy of geometry at current level

yes but you should study this one as well

@adambencloutier non-euclidean geometry, manifolds, projective geometry, in general many conceptions of space through the history of mathematics & philosophy as well, it's an incredible journey
English

@adambencloutier because it covers the epistemological foundations of geometry, from how greeks were so committed to an a priori vision of geometry, how it evolves through Descartes, then Kant +

Hi friends! I’m back to uploading my Algebraic & Complex Geometry course online. I was busy starting my postdoc at Harvard so there was a gap. This summer I’ll be posting the rest of the course. Here’s the latest lecture:

@Haniel_Ulises sure the local notion (for each one algerbra) is stronger than the global one (for the class of algebras).
