Holy hell, the voice acting is TERRIBLE in this StarFox remake.
Most of these performances don’t even have any raw emotion or enthusiasm to them, it’s more like they are reading off a grocery list than actually trying. Where is Falco’s hint of sarcasm and attitude when saved by Fox? Why doesn’t Slippy have any fear in his voice when being tailed by enemies?
I know the original N64’s voice acting is arguably corny at times, but that’s part of the charm. There’s actual emotional depth, enthusiasm, and actual care embedded in each performance that is just completely missing from almost every piece of dialogue shown here.
