i'm not satoshi, but I was early in laser focus on the positive societal implications of cryptography, online privacy and electronic cash, hence my ~1992 onwards active interest in applied research on ecash, privacy tech on cypherpunks list which led to hashcash and other ideas.

I get it. Completely. The random dance moves might be questionable but the rest of this is a parasympathetic recovery protocol disguised as laziness. Sitting alone with no agenda. No input. No screen demanding a response. No calendar pinging. That’s the only state where your nervous system fully downshifts from sympathetic output to parasympathetic recovery. Cortisol drops. HRV climbs. The inflammatory load from 16 hours of stimulation starts clearing. I do this at 4 AM before anyone else is awake. Coffee. Same mug. No phone for the first twenty minutes. Just staring out the window at the mango tree in my yard. Not thinking about anything. Not planning anything. Just looking at a tree while the coffee cools. Later I’ll walk outside and do the same thing on a bigger scale. No destination. No pace. Just moving through the neighborhood looking at trees and sky and whatever the birds are arguing about. That’s it. That’s the protocol. Most people think doing nothing is wasting time. Your biology thinks doing nothing is the only time it gets to repair without interference. The staring at walls part is the part your nervous system has been begging for all week. It just doesn’t know how to ask in a language productivity culture respects. Don’t wait for the diagnosis. Read the label.

I love doing nothing. Sitting alone in the house. Eating snacks, watching movies, staring at walls, random dance moves, pausing at the window, rooftop sunsets. This is what calms my mind & nourishes my soul. The ordinary. The little things. But you won't get it.

@Kekius_Sage The question doesn't make sense because the options are not mutually exclusive. A lot of women will also be builders/engineers/physicians etc.

If the Singularity goes wrong, should we prioritize saving women and children — or the builders: engineers, emergency physicians, and infrastructure operators?

@adityaag Putting smart hardware components that sense and act, at the digital-physical endpoints would unlock autonomous operations. That's our long term vision for the trillion dollar maritime operations industry.

@adityaag Absolutely. Real-world operations are digital + physical. Coding the software is easy; syncing it with the physical world is hard. But that’s exactly where the biggest value lives, especially in logistics.
