As you’ve probably figured out by now, Jeff Landry is running Julia Letlow’s campaign.
He’s raising dark money from the carbon capture industry—the same money funding false attack ads against me and efforts to take your land.
Frankly, you’d think Jeff Landry was the one running for the U.S. Senate.
I’ve heard he’s using every dirty trick in the book for his own gain—leaning on legislators, demanding they endorse Letlow, and threatening to withhold appropriations from those who won’t get in line.
This race comes down to one issue:
Carbon capture.
If Julia Letlow wins, the CCS special interests win.
They’re spending millions because they know I’ll never sell out.
I’m 100% against carbon capture.
My first bill would be to end the 45Q tax credits that bankroll these projects.
I can’t be bought, bullied, or bossed.
I would work for Louisiana—not political insiders, the carbon capture lobby, or special interests.
—John Fleming for U.S. Senate

Last night, we highlighted what Stephanie Grace, veteran political reporter for The Advocate, had to say about this race.
Now, one of Louisiana’s most respected political journalists, Tyler Bridges, is weighing in with a much deeper look at what’s happening in this U.S. Senate race.
Bridges explains that even though Julia Letlow is backed by President Trump, Gov. Jeff Landry, and many elected officials across Louisiana, Landry has still been “kicking ass and taking names” to line up support and endorsements for Letlow.
And yet, despite the pressure, the endorsements, the political machinery, and the millions being spent to influence this race, recent polling suggests Louisiana voters are making up their own minds.
Bridges’ reporting paints a much deeper picture of this race and points to a growing possibility that John Fleming could win next Saturday despite the full weight of the political establishment lining up behind Letlow. The Governor.
The insiders. The lobbyists. The political establishment. They’ve made their choice. Now the people of Louisiana get to make theirs.
On June 27, we send a message to every insider, lobbyist, political operative, and special interest group spending millions trying to influence this race: Louisiana is not for sale.
Vote John Fleming for U.S. Senate.

Even liberal Democrat columnist Stephanie Grace of the Advocate admits what the political establishment doesn’t want to hear:
Despite Julia Letlow having nearly every establishment endorsement imaginable, millions of dollars in dark money and outside spending, and the full backing of Gov. Jeff Landry’s political machine, Louisiana voters aren’t simply falling in line.
The insiders, lobbyists, and special interests have made their choice.
They’ve spent millions trying to install their preferred candidate in the U.S. Senate.
Now the people of Louisiana get to make theirs.
On June 27, vote John Fleming for U.S. Senate.
