Bekrub Tech has released an anti-aging treatment for those who can afford it. With little money and less time, Gil Abrams has one option, smuggling American refugees into Newfoundland as they try to escape the civil war. Being a coward does not help. podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/if-…

@DannyDrinksWine People are too stupid to realize that “humanizing” Hitler is the greatest way to warn future generations. If a normal man can become a monster so can anyone else under the right circumstance.

Remembering Bruno Ganz on his 86th birthday! Bruno Ganz on the criticism he received for his performance in 'Downfall' (2004) for "humanising" Hitler: "I am proud of what we did. People have tried to bring me down. They have tried to say that I am humanising Hitler, whatever that may mean. But I know what I did and I am proud. The genocide was such a big thing that people need a big symbol - as big as the event itself was, I am talking mainly about the six million Jews. I am not talking about destroying Europe; that is something people might have been able to deal with. Hitler must be seen as the very worst, the most evil man, and that is the only way you are allowed to show him. You need this perfect symbol of evil and if you alter that and say this man was, in some ways, an average man - he eats, he drinks, he kisses people he loves - then that disturbs people. What people need is for Hitler to actually represent evil itself. But what is evil itself? That means nothing to me. I have to perform a living human being. I can understand that someone like Wim Wenders may have a very advanced aesthetic position and may want the film to take a moral stance. I do not agree. We know how to judge Hitler. We don't need another film that condemns him. We already know where we stand on this. I mean there is certainly no sympathy for Hitler in the film." @DamCou That’s a great sequence but there’s lots of great television today. Not as good as it was in the early 2000s but still plenty. Just finished the second season of Euphoria for example. Excellent show.

If you were alive at the time, you might remember that the then-fashionable critical consensus was that both *Miami Vice* and Phil Collins were the essence of empty, soulless, consumerist corporate pop-culture product. As ever, The Cool Kids Were Wrong.
Pamela Hensley🇺🇸@PamelaHensley22

This scene in Miami Vice where "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins plays stands as one of TV's all time greatest cinematic sequences. It effortlessly establishes the mood and highlights just how far today's television industry has fallen. This authentic soul is gone.

I actually found the "you're used to surprises" comment in Japan more cringe than the Robert Mueller comment. Trump makes W Bush look like John Quincy Adams.

@putnam14671 @CigsMake That thick? Generally no, except in some very secluded areas. But we still do have a strong accent. I was in Dublin a few years ago and a lady I was talking to assumed I was from there.

PP is clever. He got across all his political points then got on MMA , which he actually does have interest in, but he knew Rogan would go off and chew up the rest of the time with something politically safe. lol But overall it was a good episode. I think it was definitely a win for PP but i think most Rogan fans voted for him anyway so I don’t know what it added

Finished the entire 2.5 hours of Pierre on Rogan. My review: Pierre really had Joe eating out of his hand. No conflict, no second-guessing. Mostly innocuous, non-newsworthy topics. Kind of incredibly so. There were a few corny moments, but could not have gone better for Pierre.

Taylor Frankie Paul says 𝘴𝘩𝘦 is the victim after a video was released showing her launching metal bar stools at her ex. Her statement says that "There are too many women who are suffering in silence as they survive aggressive, jealous ex-partners who refuse to let them move on with their lives… Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security," a spokesperson for Paul said to People. It appears we have another aggressor who is playing the victim card. The best thing to do right now is to be honest about female perpetrators of abuse, and encourage other women to get the help they need. That never seems to happen in these cases.

A new Home Alone franchise. But it’s a 74 year old who’s home alone and doesn’t even remember what fear feels like. He’s awake. Sitting in the dark, waiting for something to happen. R-rated comedy.

@kevin_nealon 7. When they ask you a question about your previous job, reply, "That's personal." 8. Play drinking game with tiny bottles of vodka on your person. Secret word is optional. 9. Open carry a nerf gun. 10. When they shake hands say, "Now that's a Trump handshake right there!"

@pastry_enthus @TaraBull Imagine that was your sister. She had a few too many drinks, was a big fan of his. She gets on stage, you're a little embarrassed, she shouldn't be there, but she's not hurting anyone. Then you see that. Would you say it was "understandable?"

@TaraBull He couldn't have known if this random stranger was about to stab him or not. One thing he did know is that the random stranger was not supposed to be there and not supposed to be touching him. Panic in this moment is understandable.
