Texas Tech announces changes to its 2027 football schedule with the CANCELATION of games against NC State & North Texas. According to a press release, NC State utilized a buyout clause due to changes in ACC scheduling and Texas Tech canceled it's trip to North Texas to maintain six home games. “We have actively been working on our 2027 football schedule for several weeks now and hope to have a new agreement with a power conference and FBS school finalized soon,” Texas Tech Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt said in a press release.
