To this day, this TikTok is the most interesting way to explain the promise of VR: You literally have root access to the primal animal brain; And trick it into thinking you’ve been teleported somewhere else.

It’s a beautiful evening to enjoy some WebXR. The team over at Agog has embraced the current potential of WebXR and compiled everything they’ve learned about their journey to share with the world to help others. This is a great example of an organization “talking the talk” and following on with an excellent demonstration of “walking the walk” and I’m excited to see where it leads :)

The really fascinating thing about XR headsets is that where our smartphones took physical products and turned them into apps, these headsets now allow us to turn our apps back into “physical” products.

Thrilled to launch Agog with my friend @wenschmidt. Our goal is to help people use the newest media technology--VR and AR--to imagine a better world. And we want to help make sure that social justice and equity are at the fore as this form of storytelling develops. @weareagog

@zsqreal I have a Vision Pro device and have spent a decent amount of time in it. I appreciate the multi-tasking abilities and can't wait to see further progress on WebXR. Curious to hear, why do you mention it?

Majin getting a bigger monitor setup but only being able to load 1 program at a time. That's the current state of VR operating system design. The future is multi-apps / overlays for multitasking

@SadlyItsBradley I believe the only way to solve for issues surrounding input focus and security is to prototype and allow use cases around multitasking in an experimental environment. It’s happening…

My huge interest in visionOS over other systems is not due to the input choice or ease of use But rather their focus on multitasking persistent elements in your “AR/VR” spaces To me, this is like if Valve decided to make a standalone HMD focused purely on SteamVR overlays 🤤

It’s so interesting to me that Vision Pro’s default use will be running probably multiple apps at once, not a singular app. I know there will be dives into a single app, but it’s a definite shift from the mostly one-app-at-a-time Quest experience
