@Norther10885608 @TruthFairy131 @kneis816 This is a case, also in London before domestic squatting was made a criminal offence and as far as I remember they had squatted there for over 10 years without documented resistance. Still wrong but cannot happen in current domestic law

3rd world foreigners are STEALING native English old ladies homes. An elderly woman in her 80s returned from visiting her 102-year-old friend to find a gang of Eastern European squatters had taken over her home in Chingford, London. They broke into her home while she was away, refused to leave, & are now living there like they own the place. Police have told her it’s a “civil matter” & refuse to help.

This case from 2025 has already been resolved. The squatters were evicted by police on 20 June 2025 after the local MP intervened. The elderly homeowner regained possession of her property. Squatting in a residential building is a criminal offence in England and Wales under section 144 of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012. Police have the power to arrest anyone who enters or remains in a residential property as a trespasser with the intention of living there. It is not simply a civil matter. In this case, officers ultimately treated it as the criminal offence it is and removed the occupants.
