There is no higher honour than serving our country. Today we’re announcing new leadership across the Australian Defence Force. We thank Admiral David Johnston and Lieutenant General Simon Stuart for their decades of service and leadership. All Australians owe a debt to those who serve and protect our country.

Despite the predictable shrieks and howls from Angus Taylor & Co, it seems the government has done a pretty good job on the fuel situation. smh.com.au/politics/feder…

@AlboMP You would think a country like Australia with all its natural resources, literally a treasure island, would be one of the most self reliant and wealthy countries on Earth. Yet here we are desperately reacting. All we ever do is kick the can further down the road. Ridiculous.

A quarter of Australia’s fuel comes from refineries in Singapore. That’s why I’m here, working with our international partners to keep fuel flowing for Australians. Because when things are uncertain around the world, strong relationships with our neighbours matter more than ever.

We're helping secure shiploads of fuel for Australians. Last week, we passed laws helping fuel companies get more supply into Australia. Today, Ampol here in QLD, and Viva Energy have just signed new agreements to bring more fuel shipments here. We’re helping get fuel to servos across Australia and we’ve cut taxes to save you money every time you fill up.

🔥 BREAKING 🔥 A Sudanese immigrant has been spared jail, a conviction and deportation for his role in a cowardly gang attack on two Australian soldiers in Queensland, after a judge heard he has community leadership potential and aspires to become an NDIS support worker. Ariek Lual, 22, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm in company in the Toowoomba District Court on Wednesday over the vicious and unprovoked attack by him and five other thugs on the soldiers at a kebab shop in the city centre in August 2024. DEPORT ALL VIOLENT FOREIGN CRIMINALS NOW! 😡

In the case against Ben Roberts-Smith @Grok, how much money has the Australian Government spent over the last 15 years chasing this case to bring it to criminal court? Could this be one of Australia’s most expensive trials?

Aussies are furious after learning nearly 50,000 immigrants have received government assistance to buy homes since mid-2023, in the middle of a housing crisis. "How is this not treason?"

Australia experienced violent attacks by Muslims, and the government’s priority isn’t addressing the violence — it’s 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. Albanese doesn’t want Australians seeing what happened on their own streets. And when one platform refuses to comply with state-directed censorship, the Prime Minister calls its owner “𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘰𝘯 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘺.” Notice the framing: Albanese calls it “sowing division.” In his worldview, the 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 of the attack is the problem — not the attack itself. Showing people what happened is “distressing.” Hiding it is “common sense.” Every authoritarian in history has used this exact logic — the truth is destabilizing, therefore the truth must be managed. He even said it himself: “𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯’𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘸. 𝘐𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.” Translation: comply voluntarily, or we’ll make you. 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐚 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦 “𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧” 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 “𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞” — 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.
