I’m seeing more and more athletic programs with resources create nap pods and places to do this. You’re not making a college kid go to bed early consistently. Just isn’t happening. So napping is the next best thing. Side note: always using an ice bath or recovery method in the off-season dulls the effectiveness and should be avoided as much as possible until needed in season
