I Risked My Life for a Country That Can’t Pay Me — Who Stole Our RCA?
I once saw a document in my camp stating that soldiers on operations are entitled to ₦5,000 per day as RCA. I was only getting ₦45,000 a month.
Who pocketed the rest? No soldier has ever asked that question.
I risked my life for a country that neither values it nor pays me fairly, all in the name of selfless service. Yet, the politicians who claim to lead us can’t even show the same commitment.
In Nigeria, the military has been turned into a tool of mental and civil slavery, where soldiers bear the burden of risks, stress, and injustice. True professionalism demands fairness, accountability, and genuine care for those on the frontlines.

Ask Damilola why he runs, and he won’t just talk about finish times or medals. He’ll tell you about the people, the shared discipline, and the unspoken drive to show up, chasing something bigger than yourself.
That’s what the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon gave him first: a community. Over time, it shaped something deeper, a lesson in preparation that transformed how he trains, with intention and respect for the distance.
Now, that journey comes full circle, shaped by discipline, consistency, and the decision to keep showing up long after the lesson was learned. Because when the moment calls, you don’t just answer, you prepare.
What keeps you going?

How do I stop a child from stealing? She’s just 6 years old, but she steals like an expert, covers her tracks perfectly, and denies it with teary eyes so much that you start to feel bad for her and even second-guess yourself as an adult.
@ComfortLolaa Oh dear.
I guess beating won't work in this matter. Maybe try talking to her. Make her understand that she's breaking the trust you have for her and won't be able to defend her outside when she's accused of anything as you won't be sure if she did it or not.
This man borrowed 10k from me and paid me 20k. borrowed 100k and paid 150k.
