This is not good: People have learned that GLP-1s are really effective, so if they're not losing weight, they know they're in the placebo group. So these people getting placebos are getting mad and leaving the trials.

I am off Twitter for a while. Maybe days, maybe weeks - I am not sure... but I suggested this outcome late last week. A few shrouded in anonymity (in the cheap seats) have ruined X for me and others. My view of Twitter is not unique - many share my feelings. I have been patient but I simply don't have the time nor inclination to defend myself against their pablum and B.S. There is too much bad karma on Twitter. Like many, I don't need Twitter to polish my image and franchise or to help me gather assets in my hedge fund. I dont give a shit to be frank. I prefer writing for a group of great and smart subs and have real time debate and discourse with them - free of ad hominem attacks. More importantly I have a hedge fund to run @SeabreezeLP - and most of my days are spent on doing research, as it should be. As markets have grown more volatile my attention should and will be focused away from Twitter. (My work day starts at 4AM and ends around 6PM) As always as I have been for 28 years you can find me at @thestreetpro. Watched FP3 live with Sky crew. It was so much better than the whiny Apple TV crew. Did get 2 minute commercial at start, none during.

@Keith_Simonian @killinmestephen When you see that photo that says sky sports: Australia qualifying and you click on it you'll see a photo. But what I did was I hit the add tab so it would record. Hopefully that works.

Watching my first F1 on Apple TV. (FP-2) So for the last how many years I have watched the Sky team on ESPN. Then before that, it was the ESPN team on ESPN. So far I am not impressed with the announcers. THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME, WITH MAYBE A SLIGHT DIFFERENCE IN PITCH.

$VKTX Weekend thought With every competitor failure or poor efficacy, theoretically the value of Viking therapeutics goes up. ZEAL shares sharply down on underwhelming data. We are talking about a TAM more than $200 Billion for the obesity space and the current market cap of VKTX suggests the company valuation is significantly undervalued.

@gnugut13 @killinmestephen Thanks. I found the listings using the search at 8.30 PST. It showed the Apple Practice 2 & Sky practice 3, which hasn't happened yet. I clicked on the Sky P3 & just a got a F1 photo. Over 30 years of watching F1, I've only had two announcer crews. You ever been to race F1?

@Keith_Simonian @killinmestephen I watched the practice 2 sky Sports version at 8AM est. it was the recorded version. Just now, went in to watch the same program and it reverted over to the Apple TV version. weird. I will let you know if I find out anything else.

They don’t appear to have anywhere to go with the dose. This seems to be *it* - for what their CEO touted as the new backbone of weight loss meds. This med seems like it might possibly be useful as an adjunct to other meds, but it does not appear to have the power to achieve meaningful loss on its own for those with actual obesity.

$NVO $LLY Zealand Pharma presents new obesity data for petrelintide. In a Phase 2 trial, the amylin analog delivered up to 10.7% weight loss vs 1.7% for placebo over 42 weeks. Notably, side effects were similar to placebo, which CEO Adam Steensberg says could “redefine obesity treatment” if confirmed. Why it matters: • Many obesity drugs cause nausea and GI issues • Better tolerability could improve long-term adherence Zealand partnered with $ROG (Roche) on the drug in 2025 and plans to start Phase 3 trials in 2026.
