What? So it's clear through reports a 1st is the return... So help me math this. Boutte & a 4 = a 1st...? In what world has Boutte (or any WR with these stats) 34 games, 78 receptions, 1159 yards & 9 TDs made him worth essentially a 2nd? A future 1st >>> Boutte & a 4.

Competition for Elliot is a great idea! He has regressed significantly for two straight years & competition would hopefully push Elliot to improve. There would be no +/- cap savings in cutting Elliot, but ensuring the best kicker is in the building is most important!

The unfortunate reality is that some of the antics will likely remain. It appears specific antics are a characteristic of a decent % of receivers in the NFL. To me the willingness to buy-in to a new offense is important but won't be seen until he shows up to mandatory camps, if we reach that point. And with that the effort would be expected to return. We won't see or hear this stuff until he shows up and it starts to happen. This will be on Howie & Sirianni to get in front of Brown & his camp as mandatory mini camp & June 1 come and either get his buy-in or the trade happens. But I absolutely believe the offense, for 2026 at least, is worse without Brown especially when the return won't be realized until the future.

@KellyGreenHour I get, you're an AJ Brown fan...but seriously, what have you seen or heard that leads you to believe he's going to 180° and not be a distraction, buy in and give full effort? Because none of those things happened last year

This is a stat that speaks volumes as to why trading Brown makes this offense & the Eagles overall inferior. Brown is a major difference maker. While his departure wouldnt close a Super Bowl window completely. The return would retract it more then keep it open.

@DutchPickle23 I'm sure there are... It's the reality of an arguably corrupt billion dollar business. The reality is almost none get caught. And ultimately for me this has to do more with journalistic integrity then the NFL integrity (which is arguably limited).

Wow... This organization has to be the dirtiest in the NFL. They had Spy-Gate, Deflate-gate & now Russini-gate. The fact they wanted to hide this & the NFL isn't investigating is wild!

@DutchPickle23 Unfortunate reality is we'll never know for sure if their closeness impacted how Russini had constant & consistent "AFC sources" pushing the Pats & Browns story. Athletic started to investigate... Russini "resigned". NFL wouldn't open any sort of investigation v. Vrabel/Pats.

@ryanroby8 .... Interesting take. I've learnt with this post conflict of interest, from an NFL standard, depends on what side you stand on. Eagles fans who want Brown gone are saying this isn't an issue. A large majority of pats fans see no issue. Mostly everyone else sees issues.

As an engaged man I would NEVER want my future wife doing this to further their work. Or as a man do this to further my work.

@world_skippy @DutchPickle23 I get it... But journalistic integrity is predicated on a number of things... One of those things is maintaining a specific degree of distance from those you report on. In a situation like this as an "Insider/Reporter" you need to pick a side. She picked conflict.

@DutchPickle23 Conflict of interest... MAJORLY! A prominent NFL "Insider" should not be this close to an NFL Head Coach. Such a major hit from an integrity perspective for the league & media. Obviously the "Insider" quit before a full investigation by her employer could happen.
