This shows one of the unfortunate tradeoffs of web3. If you sign in using your wallet, you hold greater responsibility. It makes it more difficult for companies to manage attacks like phishing.

As far as we can tell, this is a phishing attack. We don’t believe it’s connected to the OpenSea website. It appears 32 users thus far have signed a malicious payload from an attacker, and some of their NFTs were stolen.

Tough to imagine another instance where an industry requires so much security and nearly every company blatantly ignores it to focus on growth instead. BitGrail, KuCoin, MtGox, Coincheck, Poly Network, Crypto.com, Coinbase… exchanges need to do better

I’ll tell you what. 5-6 more hacks where hundreds of millions of dollars is lost and I’m going to start to think this crypto thing maybe isn’t the most secure.

@seanieb @ycombinator Hey Seanie, we don't store any biometrics (or any user data for that matter). We use on-device biometrics like FaceID, etc., so all of that stays fully encrypted on your phone. Our API facilitates authentication on mobile and web using those on-device biometrics
