@thephdstory I’ve had two C-sections. Both scary as hell! Interestingly, when I was preparing for my dissertation defense, I kept telling myself that I’d had two C-sections. Nothing scary than that. Best of luck to you!

Last night I shared with a friend that I’m having a lot of anxiety about my scheduled c-section. I’ve had panic attacks before each of my previous surgeries (not c-sections). She told me I just need to deal with it. I was so angry and felt invalidated.

I need some travel inspo. I want to take a trip later this year, in late Oct, Nov, or early Dec. What are good places for solo travel? North America or Europe locations. I’m not interested in England, Ireland, or Italy, unless I pop in to see @brookeashleyb as part of my trip.

@LRauenhorst You’re like the twentieth person to say that. I am very interested in Christmas markets but not necessarily in Germany. I want to visit a city and go to a Christmas market, but not just go to Christmas markets, at least right now.

@JamesRobichaux I’m currently working on research exploring what people define as “woke” and CRT in the context of curriculum adoption.

The best response to the charge that Critical Race Theory is being taught in schools is to demand people demonstrate specific examples of what they mean, explain why those things are bad, explain why those things constitute Critical Race Theory, and explain why the theory is bad.

This is an excellent example of the act of premise rejection that I'm always imploring people to do. What seems like a debate about whether vaccines cause autism actually conceals a much bigger question. 🧵

@JeffLandry Classrooms are not full of woke politics. Parents have direct input into curriculum adoption. Instruction is guided by standards and our teachers and students are held accountable through high stakes testing. Do not politicize teaching for your own political gain.
