The next step for Arsenal?
Change the flow of the game the way England did in the second half.
It all started with a Nico O’Reilly dribble out of pressure in his own half.
It led to England pinning Croatia back + scoring a minute or so later.
Actions like that determine flow.

Getting Arsenal-syndrome with England here. Too happy to be without the ball and not doing enough to get their foot on the ball once they lose control. Tactically, elite, just like Arsenal, but the manager can’t hold your hand EVERY step of the way. Need more possession.

Rice has been pushed out of build-up moments and into positions higher up the pitch to create that space for the fullbacks to invert into. It has been a HUGE reason behind the increase in control second half.
