Hold on - what? If police officers think someone might be carrying explosives, protocol is to kick them in the head repeatedly like this? Is that actual police protocol? If so, how is it a wise police protocol? Can someone explain the reasoning?

@LewisCarter5 @owenjonesjourno Kicking someone in the head is not even close to the most effective method of getting someone to drop a knife. Take a self defense class, holy shit. I learned how to do that shit when I was like 12.

@owenjonesjourno I think it’s an effective way to stop the threat. I think it’s an effective way of stopping the male getting back up to continue stabbing people.
