Unidentified CRJ200 arrival into Misrata from London minutes ago. Highly likely carrying Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh following his ~14-day absence from public view, consistent with ongoing reports regarding his health and a rumoued CABG [open heart] operation.

It is getting worse: His antalgic gait now demonstrates a clear posterior lurch pattern, with posterior trunk lean and a mild ipsilateral component sustained over several steps before he corrects it as he approaches the crowd.

@MTailamun LNG carriers are a special breed, they have double hulls with void in between and extremely cold steel work (due to the liquefied gas). The blast is sucked in that void tearing the hull wide open like a tin can. This won't happen in a bulk carrier let alone a warship.

Update: LNG tanker towing operation • Approx. 55 km covered • Speed: ~2.3–2.5 knots • Direction: NE–E (not north) • Current position: ~40 km offshore Tripoli Positioning is supported by GPS tracking of Misrata & Azawia-4 tugboats, and AIS data from Maridive 701 (~7h ago).

With the larger tugboat Maridive 701 now taking over the operation, measurable progress is being made, albeit at a very slow pace. The vessels are moving at ~2.5 knots (≈4.8 km/h), heading eastward rather than north, still at around 30kms offshore.

Closer inspection of the ordinance further confirms our previous assessment: this was an export Yugoslav M-79, not a Soviet M-62, based on: • Single Circular Lug Welds instead of Dual of Rectangular Welds. • Presence of central plug missing its screw cap. • English stencils.

Oh my god I’m so shook right now. I read that years ago and assumed it was all true. But apparently Marjane Satrapi made a lot of shit up in Persepolis. That scene where they give children plastic keys to heaven to get them to fight in the war? Apparently that didn’t happen. When you read a semifictional work like that somehow it seems to have its own authority. You’re told you’re reading someone’s story. You felt their feelings. But it can just be all made up! And the horrible things about Iran they made up make ppl in the west feel justify in doing horrible things to Iran to « free » the Iranian people. So many layers of horrible.

Marjane Satrapi's work is orientalist garbage for Whites. Everything I've seen from her is cringe and anti-Iran propaganda.

Despite the @NOC_Libya statement regarding the cause of the fire, images have surfaced online of the recovery of a [Yugoslav?] FAB-250 M79 ordinance from Km-538 check valve box. A static IED? -The 'peeled' casing indicates a low-order detonation or a thermal cook-off.

Thermal anomaly detected via NASA FIRMS, correlated with satellite imagery showing a visible flame streak along a mapped pipeline in Al Hamada. 📍31.224208, 12.452153 No confirmation yet whether this reflects routine flaring, maintenance activity, or an unreported incident.
