Out of the 390 students at the school, 230 are Muslim, nearly 60%. In total, the school features a 99% immigration background. Only 5 out of the total of 390 students have no migrant background. The Austrian youth has been subject to a number of insults but has little recourse due to his minority status. In total, the school features a bewildering 32 languages, with the biggest pool of non-German speakers coming from Turkey, with 81 speaking that language at home. Other major languages are Arabic and Chechen. One teacher told a Profil journalist that there are so many problems in the class, that each class could use its own social worker. The report additionally describes cases of neglect, drug use, and even arrests among young people. During Ramadan, Profil reports that some students refuse swimming lessons because the water might touch their lips, which would violate their religious obligation to fast. Half of the students come from families living on welfare, with two out of three repeating at least one grade in elementary school. Due to the extreme diversity and differing religions, Profil reports that religious tensions dominate in the school every day. New data shows that more than 50% of first graders in Vienna are listed as Muslims. In addition, over 50% cannot understand German, sparking a crisis in the Vienna school system.

I’m not a gun owner, but I respect the right of law-abiding Canadians to own firearms. What happened to Nathalie Provost was horrific, there's no question. But decades later, targeting legal owners instead of criminals and illegal guns isn’t the answer. Bans and buybacks miss the real problem. Personal trauma is real, but it shouldn’t drive policy that punishes people who’ve done nothing wrong.

The Auditor General’s latest findings revealed widespread fraud and dangerous gaps in the Liberals' oversight of foreign student work permits, after they only reviewed 2.6% of over 153,000 suspected cases of fraud in 2023-24 alone. In spite of this, the Liberals are pushing ahead with hundreds of thousands of new foreign work permits with no plan to remove the millions of existing expired or expiring foreign visa holders who remain in Canada.
