Thinking undocumented immigrants are lining up to vote and to hand their personal info to the same government trying to deport them is like thinking a deer is going to walk into a hunter’s cabin and fill out a “preferred seasoning” form. “Yeah hi, I’d like to register to vote……also here’s my address, work schedule, and the best time to come get me.” Come on. People avoiding deportation aren’t downloading government apps like it’s fantasy football draft day. They’re not out here thinking, “You know what sounds fun, let’s try to get deported and try to vote. If anything, they treat government interaction the way most people treat spam calls: ignore, decline, and hope it stops ringing.

FACT CHECK: Republicans PASSED a bill TWICE to pay TSA agents and fund DHS. Nearly every Democrat voted against it both times. The truth is Democrats want us to REOPEN our border in exchange for funding Homeland Security, and it’s NOT going to happen!

Republicans have rejected every single time Democrats have offered a compromise 24 times in the last month Republicans rejected it. They’re not trying to work with Democrats. They want this to stay as a shut shut down and blame somebody like they are starting a fire and blaming someone else.

Republicans are working hard to get the SAVE America Act to the President’s desk. It is just common sense to ensure only American citizens can vote and use a  a photo ID when they do. Even 70% of Democrats across the country agree. But Senate Democrats are trying to block it.
