@Earthmine52107 @darkdefective Shame we don't explore any of that and give more context to the lore behind these two. Sadly Gunn crammed so many filler that neither of the themes and points are explored in depth, and Krypton sucks more according to Byrne fanboy James Gunn so there you go. Find a job.

@Luthor1940 @darkdefective -painted as a representative of the US, or anything other than himself, and that Jarhanpur’s past does not define it. The movie’s themes and points are clear, both Earth and Krypton can suck, but Superman chooses to see good in them and do good himself regardless.

@Earthmine52107 @darkdefective Woman of Tomorrow sucks balls. Framing all of that as a human thing against Lex's piece of alien mindset, no matter how much you twist it, Gunn wanted it that way. Another topic that the movie didn't bother to give any more depth and just serves as a background thing with NPCs.

@Earthmine52107 @darkdefective You don't have any of that. Gunn himself is ironically racist for its portrayal of a fictional alien civilization. It paints her negatively as a disrespectful drunk that also bastardizes WoT because she gets drunk during the events of that story, NOT BEFORE.

What others said is right, to think the film paints all Kryptonians as rapist conquerors is itself ironically racist. It does not portray Kara that way (and her being drunk is part of WoT/her -

@Earthmine52107 @darkdefective I'm not bro of such dishonest lying hypocrites like you, I don't want anything with you. It needed to be good first but the movie was born dead. Yet you still defend with your own life that bastardization by trying to twist the message into something it isn't and wasn't intended.

@Luthor1940 @darkdefective Bro that’s not what the movie or speech says AT ALL. Maybe the speech needed to be more explicit after all. I already honestly said from the start I didn’t like their version of Jor-El, which you dishonestly and hypocritically have not acknowledged, along with my efforts to-

@Earthmine52107 @darkdefective It's a bad message, badly written, badly acted and badly executed no matter how much you cope, lie and twist it. You don't have any respect or intelectual honesty, stop saying and stop projecting because its YOUR arrogance and insincerity that shows you don't understand him.

@Earthmine52107 @darkdefective I'm not bro of dishonest lying posers like you. Stop projecting and coping, YOU're the one who refuses to acknowledge that the message is badly written and done, and its issues are born from Gunn hating Superman and being obligued to do this movie, you misunderstand everything.

@Luthor1940 @darkdefective Bro I literally early on and now did give the film its faults and even agreed on some points, if you bothered reading. You’re the one who continued to refuse to acknowledge a point I gave from the start you actually ironically helped prove as you continue to misunderstand it.

@Luthor1940 @darkdefective The DCEU follows this trend, even Smallville did. So no, unfortunately it took this long to have a live-action Superman who chose to be Superman all on his own agency.

@Earthmine52107 @darkdefective The first opportunity he has to redeem all of that and he butchers Krypton for no reason. Sounds like Superman doing his own choices and then learning those choices have consequences and being reminded that he has a big responsability, even so the Donner cut's events get erased.

@Luthor1940 @darkdefective In cinema, unfortunately not. Even Donner, especially in Superman II, has it so Jor-El pushes him to be Superman and he ultimately chose to gave up his powers and responsibility as a hero to be with Lois, which Jor rightly calls out as selfish and which he admits (Donner cut).

@Jhhuynh42 Gunn's Superman was simply born dead, because of his own uninterest and lack of understanding and knowledge of this character, all of these issues would be avoided if we got a "Matt Reeves" for Superman.

@Earthmine52107 @darkdefective Earth represents the person and Krypton the thing. One is portrayed as good one and the other as bad, in which they explicitedly are rapist conquerors and killers. No, supports that the speech and the movie are badly done, and you're another dishonest poser, with 0 respect.

@Luthor1940 @darkdefective But if you want it spelled out again, like I literally said from the start, the speech was never about “Earth vs Krypton”, it was “person vs thing”. You pointing out other aliens having the same traits supports my point, respectfully, how can you not connect the dots by now?
