N11/M11 UPGRADE

Im the N11/M11 upgrade. Im a little confused about myself, so i've commissioned a short film to describe myself more accurately. Please feel free to contribute your thoughts and information on my construction here. Am i a result of progressive thinking?

@derekconniffe Hi Derek. I am masquerading as a road, but really i am a concerned citizen who will be affected by all of these proposed routes. I just set this up for people to post info and have conversation if they wish.

@stevensgreen1 @greenparty_ie @wicklowcoco Oh, i just assumed that bigger, wider and more destructive was better. I thought that was what yee wanted. More cars, more carbon, less trees and places of beauty. It certainly sounds progressive to me. But hey, i'm open to hearing a good case.

@M11Upgrade @greenparty_ie @wicklowcoco There’s little about you that makes sense or works properly. No offence intended, it was zonings, dispersed and car dependent development and lack of public transport that has made you what you are! Some junction improvements might be good though.

I asked @wicklowcoco to write to Minister to deploy some extra carriages/routes for Wicklow rail line. Instead we’ve been offered a 3rd lane on N11. Where is the land use and transport forward planning strategy hidden???

@campbellsuz Don't you want more of me? bigger, wider, more cars, less tree's, less beautiful vistas. Maybe we could make it so you can see me from Dublin airport. I could spiral up around the sugar loaf so all the drivers could have a great view on their commute.

@M11Upgrade @wicklowcoco Not that I know. But as an M11/N11 user, this will not help the nightmare. Investment in jobs outside Dublin #GreystonesIDA would help.

Hello there @wicklowcoco @gronia. Is there a more comprehensive visualisation of the upgrade options that includes 3 dimensional perspectives? I would love to see what i might look in real context. Also i think it would be valuable to the public. Thank you 😚

@EamonRyan Hey Eoman, have you come across any robust visualisations of what i will look like after i get my face lift? I think its important for the public to really get a sense of how i might look. Im looking for people to really consider weather or not my upgrade is progressive. Thanks

Eh, not quite what we were expecting.. Proposal out today for upgrade of N11 to six lane Motorway (M11). Widely expected to be widened to six lanes, with local access routes, along the line of the existing four lane N11 (red route shown). #N11M11 #Kilmacanogue #GlenofTheDowns
